Ask any mom what kind of car seat they have for their infants who grow out of their infant carrier and need a convertible (rear and forward facing) car seat, and they all have told me "Britax." So when Steve was researching prices for Britaxes one day, he shouts out "OMG guess who also makes car seats???" "Who?" I reply. "RICARO!!!" THAT IS SO COOL!!!" He shouts back. Uh huh. Okay. That means nothing to me. And probably won't to most people, unless you're a race car enthusiast, you know, like Formula 1 and Nascar kind of stuff. Turns out Ricaro is the company who makes seats for race cars, and I guess a number of years ago they got into the children's car seat market as well, and are giving Britax a real run for their money. The reviews were coming up just as good, and the prices were comparable. So that was that. Our son had to have a race car seat. How many people can say their child sits in a race car car seat??!!
