Another beach day

Sundays we often have the habit of spending late afternoon at the beach at a particular beach shack restaurant kind of place called the "Reggae Bar." It's just a casual restaurant on the beach near us, with plenty of tables and chairs in the sand, and a covered pavilion for those who like to stay out of the sun. This week, the surf had started to become pretty strong and dramatic, so we brought Griffin down to the waterline to see the waves and put his feet in. He was very unsure about it! The waves were rolling in pretty dramatically and loud. (sorry that we didn't take pictures of it- it was beautiful- but we will the next time). I was missing Portia (our Boxer) a lot at that point, because she LOVES to swim in the surf like that! When we lived here we always brought the dogs on Sundays. Griffin was okay playing in the sand, with his new pail and shovel and toys, and this time put minimal amounts of sand in his mouth. He also figured out that he can crawl on the sand, and thus there is a pretty wide expanse of ground to cover without being told no....yay freedom! After he changed out of his swim diaper, he put on a onesie given to him by his Aunt Lindsay, who insisted we take a picture of him wearing it on the beach. Voila!! Though we couldn't get him to look at the camera this time.
