8 months old!

The last week of January/first week of February we spent the week in DC house and dog sitting for our friends. One evening we had a great visit and dinner with Steve's Aunt Jane, Uncle Bill and cousin Jen. We also got to spend some nice quality time with our friend Caroline and her little girls Alexandra, Araceli and Arianna. Ara and Ari are twins just about 3 months older than Griffin. They had a good time rolling around and playing together. But the big news is Griffin's progress getting closer and closer to crawling! In other news, I accepted as short-term consultancy for the month of February, working for an NGO writing a proposal. Its been fun being back in the swing of work-related things, and interacting with a lot of new people, but it's hard sending Steve off with Griffin to story time at the library, for example, while I have to stay home and write. Oh, and also- still no tooth! This kid had been teething for months, but alas, still waiting. On the sleep front, we worked hard the last month to wean him off his middle of the night feedings and it worked! Sleeping through the night bliss for almost a week until we went away for the weekend and Grandma was babysitting. Somehow he must have sensed things were off and reverted back to his old ways, so now we're back this week to sleep training again. But I'm confident that after a few rough nights we'll be golden again!
