July 4th neighborhood parade

We're catching up a bit here, but we have some cute photos from the Federal Hill 4th of July parade that just happened to start right on our block here in Baltimore! It was a super cute slice of Americana- not perhaps something we realized we'd been missing, but something that we definitely appreciated being a part of, especially with our little guy. All the families come out with their kids and dogs, with strollers and bikes and everyone all decorated in red, white and blue, waving flags, and all that. Then the whole gathering walks around the block and through the park and back again. They even had a firetruck to lead the way, and a small band of old fashioned revolutionary war drummers! The closed off the street and afterwards they had a hula hoop and limbo contest for some of the bigger kids. Griffin had fun on his tricycle, and Bentley behaved extremely well even with all the other dogs around. It was a great way to start things off in our new town.

This is our house for the summer! We expect to move to our new place in mid-August.
