Today Griffin turns 2 years old! How is that possible already? It's also Father's Day, which is a nice coincidence, though I think daddy got a lot less attention this year than Griffin did. It was also "Sailabration" Weekend, which is a big Baltimore festival celebrating the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812 and the writing of the Star Spangled Banner, the US national anthem, which took place at Fort McHenry, just a mile or so from our house! So- a lot going on! My folks came to town for all the fun, and we had a great time. On Saturday we all rode bikes over to Ft. McHenry and spent the afternoon there picnicking on the grass, and watched the Blue Angels air show. It was incredible! For dinner, my mom and I made my dad and Steve filet mignon with jumbo shrimp, and my mom had made and brought down homemade strawberry pie. On Sunday we had a small birthday party for Griffin at a neighborhood playground/park, as a joint birthday party with his friend Bridget, whose birthday was on the same day. The Blue Angels (US Navy fighter jets who perform an amazing air show) flew right overhead a bunch of times during the party- it was so cool!

| Everyone loved the cookie cakes, even more than our homemade cupcakes! |

| The best photo yet- taken earlier this weekend by Steve- while Griffin was "reading" Steve's Road and Track magazine, because Griffin likes to look at "race cars!" |
