After a few days visiting with friends in Bangkok, we took the 1-hr flight to Phuket (pronounced "poo=ket") and got settled in our new little apartment. We're renting a 2br condo from a friend of a friend, and it's in a great little gated complex with a pool and a little restaurant. Sort of like a mini-resort but more low key than that. It's perfect for us. Griffin has settled in well to his sleeping schedule and we're pretty happy about that. But he is still a bit off we've noticed, mainly because he wants to nurse a lot more often than he had been, and isn't very interested in eating. I have been able to get him to eat applesauce, and maybe cereal with apples or banana, but not a whole lot else. That must be his comfort food. I'm sure in another few days he'll be back to his normal self, which is to eat tons of anything you put in front of him. Though I should revise that, he'll eat just about anything as long as it doesn't have a wierd texture. He's still getting used to new solid foods and you can tell that his tongue isn't very excited about things like little broccoli trees, or spiral pasta or even rice. So we'll keep at it. How will we get him to like yummy Thai curry if he doesn't like rice? It's a necessity. Anyway, below are a few pictures of the apartment. We are just steps away from the pool, and a short walk down the road to the beach. yahoo!
