New Jobs, New City...Hello Baltimore!

After about a year of being in the states, and for me, 6 months or so of taking time off, not counting a bit of consulting in between, Steve and I have decided to stay in the States for a few years at least. We've just moved to Baltimore, Maryland! I accepted a job as Director for Monitoring and Evaluation with a small NGO called Lutheran World Relief, and Steve will be the Emergency Logistics Manager for Save the Children in DC. We both start this week! Steve will be commuting by train to DC and working from home a few days a week, so we've decided to make the Federal Hill neighborhood our home. We just moved down last week, and have rented a 2-bedroom furnished house just 3 blocks from my new office, while we look for a home to buy. With any luck, we'll find something this month and move around September. Despite the short-notice, we fortunately found a nice nanny-share arrangement for Griffin for the summer, and if it works out well, we can continue it for long term. So...we're slowly getting unpacked and settled in to our new home, new jobs, new city, and new little world here in the US. So far....so good!!
