I was doing really well there for a while, updating this blog on a somewhat regular basis, ever since I was pregnant with Griffin and then after he was born. But somehow since November, life has just gotten in the way of blogging! So for all our avid followers out there, I think I'll just start now in lowering expectations as to how regular we might be going forward. Both Steve and I are crazy busy at work and traveling a lot, and Griffin is a wild and crazy toddler these days, barely giving us a moment to breathe!
All in all, we're doing well. Griffin is 20 months old and his own little man now. He is saying quite a few words, and we think, after such a long wait, finally got his fifth tooth! And I think a whole bunch more are moving in. He's clearly approaching the "terrible twos" as they say, since he also randomly breaks out in temper tantrums for no reason, but then is equally as quickly distracted by something new and fun, such as stickers. He still rides his firetruck everywhere around the house, and now he also spends a lot of time sweeping and vacuuming with his own toddler supplies. And recently, though we aren't sure exactly how, his new best friend is Elmo. "Elmo elmo elmo elmo elmo elmo elmo" is all that comes out of his mouth on some days! He has a few Sesame Street books and is learning the names of all the characters, but clearly the only one that really matters is Elmo.
