Melissa!!! Last time we went down to CHOP we had lunch with our good friend Melissa. We regaled her with stories of Griffin's horrible fussy periods, but she didn't believe us. Steve even tried to take a video clip of him the last time he was screaming but it didn't turn out- we'll have to try again. He also threatened to call her at 3am during one of them, but luckily I talked him out of it the one time it happened in the middle of the night. Usually it happens in the evening during dinner, or later, during David Letterman or so (11:30pm ish). We probably shouldn't complain too much though, because when he does go down to sleep by 12 or 1am, he almost always sleeps through until 5am, and last night he slept until 7am!! I was shocked to be woken up by him and it was daylight! Go Griffin!
Pete and Kimberly!! They were on their way home from a long weekend in the finger lakes and stopped in for an afternoon visit on their way back to DC. 
Pete is an old friend of Steve's, and was a reader at our wedding. He proudly gave Griffin a sippy cup as a gift, because "I wanted to be sure to be the one to give Griffin his first beer mug!" Symbolically, of course... :)
Kimberly and Pete just got engaged, and will get married next fall. I'm not sure where they are on the question of having kids, but they do look like naturals, don't they? Of course, we were a bit delirious, strung out, and frustrated with parenting when they arrived, so perhaps at that point not the best salesmen for the decision! Luckily for us Griffin was an angel during the whole visit.
